Covert survived his first trip to the treacherous Volunteer
Speedway in Bulls Gap, TN as he competed with the Old Man's
Garage Spring Nationals touring series on Friday and Saturday,
April 15 and 16. Jason finished 6th during Friday's $4,000
to-win main event while coming home 10th in Saturday's $10,000
to-win main event.
Up next for Covert is a pair of World of Outlaws
Craftsman Late Model Series events in North Carolina as the
series visits Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, NC and
Fayetteville Motor Speedway in Fayetteville, NC. Both events

- Jason Covert is not as well-known as many of
the drivers he competed against during the opening weekend of
World of Outlaws CraftsmanŽ Late Model Series action at
Screven (Ga.) Motor Speedway, but none of that mattered as the
Pennsylvania-native left Georgia two weeks ago with the series
It was a testament to Covert's experience and
skill as a driver as well as the competition the full-time
series drivers face every night.
